I'm just wondering if there's a way to use the no-lock slide-to-unlock, but with a lock. What I want is to be able to slide something on my screen to get to the pattern-lock. Therefore, it will look cool and be secure. Any ideas?

There may be something in the market that can do this, although that may not be the app's primary purpose. My Dad has whatever version of the Optimus One that's on AT&T, and he wanted his phone to display his alternate contact info on the lock screen in case someone found his phone. He installed an app to do this (I don't remember what it was, sorry), and since the pattern lock and PIN lock both take up too much screen room to display any contact info, only the slide-to-unlock screen works with this app. So, if you have your unlock settings set to anything other than slide-to-unlock with this app installed, the first thing you see is the slide-to-unlock with his contact info above the slide, and then when you slide the slider to unlock, you are then presented with the pattern or the PIN screen. Perhaps if you can find and install that app, you could put blank alternate contact info and still get that affect.

Seems a little excessive, but it's all about preference.

You could install another locker app from the Market, such as GO Locker or Widget Locker.. then manipulate the settings so that it does not disable the default locker. Then setup the default locker so that it requires pattern security. I'm pretty sure that they run sequential and the new one pops up first if you do it that way.

So you want to use the slider and then after that, another lock screen? Every time you access the phone?
I'm betting that will get real old, real fast.
