lock screen keeps showing that my music player is running

The lock screen keeps showing that my music player is running but nothing plays when I push the "play" button or the "next" button. I've tried turning phone off and on but it still shows up in my lock screen.

I had the same issue. Opened up the app settings for 8tracks and force closed it, and that seemed to fix it. Do you have 8tracks installed?

Just pull down the notifications screen and X it out.

Sometimes my podcast player (pocketcasts) or google play music will stay on the screen even after I stop listening, because the app waqsn't force closed out.

remove it from the screen first then again play it i think it might be hang on that time i've also that type of problems sometimes
