Hi all. My sister replaced her email shortcut with Facebook and for some reason her phone shortcut disappeared. We tried to add it back but the phone isn't listed as one of the icons. Any help would be appreciated!

Your phone isn't up to date then. Go to HTC software update and hit check now. This was taken care of with the update.

Menu>settings>System update>HTC software>check now

Also, to note, if you drag the non-icon into the area to open it should/will still open up your phone app. If you want a simple fix, from your home screen click menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all and then scroll until you get to HTC sense (first one), click it and click force stop. Click the home button to reset sense. Once it loads more than likely you will have the icon back when you look at the lock screen. Let us know if this doesn't work.

Lastly, the update did fix the phone icon issue but I think Google/HTC just slapped a bandaid on the bigger issue. The reason I say this is because it still can happen with apps installed to your sd card when sense needs to be reset. For some reason sense doesn't refresh properly when you reboot your phone. This item needs to be addressed in a future update. Regardless, if you are not rooted I would accept the OTA update as mentioned in the previous post.

An update will fix this issue. If you just got the phone it may take a few days for the update to come. This was an early on bug of the Evo 3D. Just give it some time if you have not gotten the update.

Are you referring to icons not displaying properly when you reboot? That happens with anything installed on the SD card. This isn't related to the phone disappearing bug because the phone app isn't installed on the SD card. App icons on the SD card disappear because Sense starts up before the SD card fully mounts. If you kill Sense and let it restart, then the icon will come back because the SD card is already mounted. I don't know for sure, but I've been told that this is totally normal and isn't a bug. Do you know if other phones behave the same way?
