Lock screen shortcuts

Is there any way to get swipe to the left goes the phone app or something like that? There's an easy way to get to the camera but how do you get to the phone quickly?

I stumbled on this last night playing with my MAXX. I noticed when I used the power button to wake the phone there were two brackets on either side of the screen, I had seen them before but dismissed them, so this time after I woke the phone with the power button I swiped at one of the brackets (the one on the right) and the camera launched. I tried it again and same thing happened. Then I tried the other side (left bracket) and when I swipped it I got a screen with a big plus sign (+) in the middle of it so I touched the plus sign and it gave me some options to pick from, phone dialer was not one of them, so I picked the Gmail one from the list and then locked the phone. So now when I wake the phone with the power button I can swipe from right to left and the camera opens or swipe from left to right and it show me my Gmail in box full screen. Apparently you can add more options after the one to the left because I swiped it again after my gmail screen and it gave me another screen with the plus sign. Not sure where the list of options comes from to add stuff because one of them was an app that I loaded and didn't come on the phone. Kinda cool...I didn't know of this feature.

Ah yes...I totally missed that and now with the help of Simple Dialer Widget I now have a phone dialer from the lock screen. Very nice.
