Lock screen staying awake for almost a minute?

I have a galaxy s6 edge that I've had for about a month, give or take a few days. When I first got the phone, the lock screen would shut off in about 2 seconds- I had trouble even having enough time to scan my fingerprint. I'm not sure what changed, but a couple of days ago I realized my lock screen is staying on for almost a minute now. It stays this long whether I get a notification or if I turn it on myself. I've tried shortening the display time, but it only affects the phone once it's unlocked. I've restarted my phone a couple times and wiped the cache and rebooted everything. It's really starting to drain my battery- I get a lot of notifications.
I don't know if I did something to make this change or not. There was a system update right around when I got the phone, and I don't think that changed it. Any ideas? Smart stay is off as well.
