Lock screen time out . . .

Thanks, but I guess I'm calling it by the wrong name.

What I'm referring to is the initial screen that shows up just by turning the device on. Mine stays on for 3-4 seconds. I'd like to set it to 10 seconds. I have a scrolling message that tells how to contact me if it is lost. This shows up just by turing the device on without having to enter the PIN and 3-4 seconds is too short to read the entire message

Following your directions works to change the time the screen remains on after it is initialized by entering the PIN but does nothing for the very first screen that shows up when one just turns on the phone.

Not sure what to call the very first screen that pops up.

Ew .....
I guess if the person really wants to return it back to you, one will read it couple more times...

Or you can put a stick on the back of the phone.

You could check a couple of things. The lock screen timeout is shorter when battery saver is enabled. Also, another member found that switching Smart Stay off will give you some extra seconds.

You're right!

It was the battery saver. Actually went by an AT&T store and after a bit of time they figured it out.

Should'a checked the forum again before I went by.

Thanks!

Glad you managed to fix it! See you around the forums. Ah! Espero que no seas tan cascarrabias como tu nombre indica :)
