Lock screen (unlock slide bar lags..)

The lag is most definitely there. It's also seen on the Droid 2. Moto ****ed up their Froyo updates, in my opinion.

I don't see a lag in the unlock screen. There is a double click, but no lag. Maybe imblucky. I'm. Running stock Froyo.

compare your swipe unlock bar to an iPhone..it's laggy. I have 3 DroidX infront of me, mine running unofficial first leaked 2.2 and the other 2 are running official 2.2 and all 3 of them are jittery when you unlock them.

same problem here with the standard 2.2 unlock mechanism.

i purchased widgetlocker for other reasons - the smoother unlocking was a bonus.

+1 for widgetlocker. I really like that I can add another layer of customization to my phone on the lock screen.

The slider is clunky and lag prone

How exactly do you put widgets in the slider? or is it just applications only in the slidebar and widgets elsewhere?

I've put it in Tool mode, clicked on Add, Custom Slider..

I can't figure out how to add widgets tho..

I have an unread gmail and sms widget that show little red circles like the iPhone.. is it possible to add those to the left/right sliders?

When you're looking at your locked screen, just long press and add widget. LOL. Stop overthinking it.

That's not what I'm asking.. I want to put my unread gmail and unread sms notification widget inside the slider, like you can with apps.



I want to put this on my left slider,

No need, the feature is already there. I have one with TeslaLED in the middle of the slider, Handcent on the right, and my phone dialer on the left.

1) Press and hold WidgetLocker screen to bring up add screen.

2) Select Custom Slider

3) Pulldown menu on either side (or middle) to the very bottom and select "Select Shortcut". It will open up the select shortcut menu. Select Applications.

4) Select the app of interest, whatever desired.

5) Repeat for other half of slider and for middle function.

6) Enjoy.

Ah, I understand. Yes, no ability to mount a widget inside the slider itself (to my knowledge).

As for the double locks/sliders, there is (sadly) no way to eliminate the slider inside 2.2. It was added as part of their enhanced security and despite a lot of looking, there is no way to eliminate it. You can easily disable to lock altogether (using several apps) but can't eliminate one or the other using Locker.

I have to unlock Locker, then the phone, then swipe my security pattern to get into my phone. Eventually, you get used to it but I'm hoping the DX updates to come will eliminate it.

I've found that using Widgetlocker, we run 2x as many widgets now.

I now have a clock screen on my widgetlocker as well as on my main screen.

Does anyone see a battery decrease using widget locker?

im new to this droid world my slide lock disappeared and the the pattern lock doesnt show or work at all help i need my phone to lock due to work
