Lock Screen

So I'm super pumped that I received my phone today. Everything is setup and so far so good. However, my lock screen isn't working as I believe it should.

I have fingerprint and IRIS as unlock options. I wait about 2 or so minutes after the phone has been idle. I go to hit the home button and I can get into the main screen without unlocking it without either unlock option. I covered the top of the phone with paper just to make sure the IRIS reader was blocked. I can still get in.

I verified that my lock screen is set to pin, IRIS and fingerprint. I even went back in and cleared settings and redid IRIS and fingerprint.

Any thoughts about what I may be missing? I came from an S7 Edge and that gave me no issues.

Is it possible you are using smart Lock?

I went into the settings and saw screen lock was set for 10 minutes. That was the issue. I should have went through the settings a little deeper. I set it for 15 seconds and we're good now!
