Ok - this is a noob question.
I have rooted and blocked updates as per Indirect on the XDA site. I'm very happy with the rooted NT - lots of apps that work well, and I use the voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to temporary unroot to watch my Amazon videos. So I'm happy.
So my question - why is it important/beneficial for the developers to beat the locked bootloader issue? What will be the advantage? Will that let me update to the newest version of Android, is that the point?
Thanks in advance for responding to a noob!
