[AC Question]

I have a LG v20 and I'm going to the "locked gallery and memo page" but it seems to already have a passcode, but I've never set one up, but it doesn't give me an option to out my email in OR a security question. How do I get pass this?

If it says "show locked files" than a code has already been set.
if it says "lock files"than it is asking you to set,password

go to gallery
tap on three dots upper right of the phone
select show locked files
and than try entering any of the passwords you have set to unlock your phone.
If it shows a pattern, and not sure of the pattern, after 2 or 3 wrong inputs, than in the bottom right corner you will see the words BACKUP PIN.
Then try entering a pin you may know.

The only way to reset it is to factory wipe the phone. But you will loose anything you have locked.
