Locked keypad with request to enter security protection password to unlock the phone

[Android Central Question]

I have a galaxy S9 plus which is able to receive calls but the keypad is locked and says please enter the security protection password to unlock the phone. After the pin is entered it does respond if it's right or wrong and still remains locked with the same message. Can you help unlock the keypad please.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this your phone? If it's your phone, was it always yours (i.e., did you get it brand new, or did you buy it used from someone else)?

You'll need to enter the password that either you or somebody else created. We can't help anyone bypass a security feature.
