Locked phone with Android Device Manager and i can't put the updated password in device!

I added a pin to my phone and it worked a few times, now it tells me it is incorrect and I can't bypass. There's not "forgot password," option. I locked it using the Android Device Manager but there's not option to put in a password on my galaxy s3- it shows a black screen then goes back to my pin number screen. I don't want to reset, what should I do?

Welcome to Android Central! You might be stuck. Did you forget your PIN, or is it somehow not recognizing your PIN if you're sure you remember it correctly? What happens if you fail the unlock enough times? Does it threaten to wipe the phone, or does it ask for your Google credentials?
