Locking buttons during video playback?

I'm coming from an Epic 4G which had the capability to 'lock' the softkeys during playback of a video by pressing the power button. A small lock icon would appear on the corner of the screen to let you know its been activated.

Can the Evo do the same? I sometimes hand off my phone to the kids to watch Netflix shows and pressing search or home on accident does happen.

Adding a comment so I can easily follow this later. I would love this since my daughter won't leave buttons alone.

I would very much love this for the Nook color though, since she is obsessed with hitting the n button
