Lockscreen delay very short

When my phone is not being used, screen is black, and i press the button below the screen to wake it up... it goes black again in approx 2-3 seconds. is there anyway i can prolong this?

I bet its the Galaxy S4 right? Well I am guessing in the build.prop there might be a way to change it, but you would need root. There is no way I can think of that would allow you to change it. I will do some searching on the web.
