AC Question

Hi, I've searched lots but can't find an answer. My phone (Oppo Find 7 running 4.4.2) constantly gets the dreaded "Unfortunately, Android Wear has stopped" error when I boot the phone. My watch is an LG Watch R, and I'm running Wear 2.0.
I have done the whole clearing cache, uninstalling & reinstalling wear, re-pairing watch, removing mail exchange accounts etc etc, but to no avail.
The only solution that works 95% of the time for me is to set NO lockscreen and reboot the phone. If I then re-enable the lockscreen, Wear keeps running on the phone and I keep receiving notifications.
The next time I boot the phone however with the lockscreen enabled, as soon as I unlock, the error message comes up again, and I receive no notifications on the watch. All the apps on the watch work however. I can see that AW2 does restart by itself on the phone (looking at running processes), but notifications still do not come through to the watch.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you also clear the data for Android Wear? Are you running a 3rd party lockscreen app, or is this the stock?

Ok, but did you clear the app data for Android Wear, and not just its cache? The reason I ask is that I think apps may sometimes retain data once if you uninstall and then reinstall. This probably won't solve the problem, but at least we can cross it off the list.

The only other thing I can suggest would be a conflict with some other app. But to figure that out, you'd have to uninstall apps one by one to see if the problem went away. Keep that idea as a last resort.
