Is there any way to get a Google Voice lockscreen widget?

How about the ability to put more than one widget on a single lockscreen avoiding the need to swipe down and then to the side? I am really looking to have both SMS (via GV) and emails (through Gmail) visible by simply pressing the side or main button.
