Lollipop and the NotePro

Android has sound latency problem. I was disappointed to find this out when I started learning to play piano. It is very comfortable to play the piano on this device due to its size. I bought some apps and downloaded many free ones but all were unusable because of high latency.

Some guys were smart enough to develop a fix which presumably, may be included in the 5.0 version, I hope we get this update soon. My iPad 3 handles latency great, so you get the sound as you touch the screen and even Midi connections work very well. I think I will keep my iPad for now until that problem is solved.

Note Pro 12.2 is a great device, one I waited patiently for. S-Pen works wonderfully well and everything is just right but for some android issues.

Yea it probably is. The 12.2 is a fine machine and I don't think Samsung has given up on replacing portable computers. Something like the Note 12.2 will keep the line going. It is just not the next in line.

I think Kitkat is broke with the purposeful locking of the SD card. I use lots of different apps and I have files stored all over the place. I want to be able to use my SD card and Lolipop helps in that regard....for me that's reason enough to upgrade.

I'm upgrade eligible on Verizon in August 15` and my HTC one will go to my youngest and I was considering an iPhone, never had one yet, but the note 4 has jumped in the lead now, but I have light years in mobile technology time until August so I'm gonna enjoy searching this holiday season and saving as the curved screen note is the cost of a laptop, I gotta try one sometime.

I got the Note 4 the day it came out in Verizon. It's a great phone. Best I've I've ever had. I had considered the Note 4 Edge but the extra $100 and lack of when it well be available (at that time) were turn-offs.

You are right. 9 months from now, when you can upgrade, there will be many more great phones to choose from. It's the double edged sword that cuts both ways. Tech advances quickly but that also means it gets old quickly.

Is there a way to get the new scrapbook for note 12.2 ? That is compatible with note 4 version and the note 3 lollipop version. Right now I tag my items I create on the note 4 so that I know it was created there. Otherwise I might be oblivious to any possible text attached to them item when viewing in note 12.2nd scrapbook something that was created in the note 4

Gettng the bugs out with KK and then possibly moving to v5.xxx, sooner rather than later, may put you into another round of fixes. Lollipop *supposedly* brings smoother/faster operation on the same devices. Also, additional APIs exist for developers which promises more functions (more possible than with KK) in future app updates. Then there are minor cosmetic changes.

All I want to know is if one can swipe in from top left/right corners on multiwindow supported apps and get them into popup mode. That's the main thing I want out of Lollipop honestly . .

In all likelihood it will be quite a while before Xposed supports Touchwiz based Lollipop devices so I probably won't upgrade until then.

Please no. My note is working perfectly, no lag, great battery life. I do not want Samsung to release another half baked update which they then have to correct.
I am not against progress and would love a fully tested Lollipop, BUT?

Hi guys (and gals!)

I am in Australia, and I just had a very long and large download, firmware update, and then optimisation of all 148 apps. And my build no now reads AOC1.
I thought it must be 5.2 Lollipop, but device still says 4.4.2.
Maybe it is preparation for Lollipop?

Could be. My American Galaxy S4 phone going this week from 4.4.2 to 5.0.1 involved two updates, so maybe that is what is happening to you. Now, if we could start getting it here in the US...

Early spring 2015 has come and gone and my note pro 12 (AT&T) hasn't seen lollipop yet. Funny cause my note 3 which is an older device that the note pro is running lollipop.

Thye did this for all tabs pros. Website--> samsung . youmobile . org
(without spaces. I am not allowed to upload urls yeat).I asked them (this website owner) if it's same with note and he replied that there is a big chance.
Even though they will start rolling updates until September many countries will get it until 2016 December. They always make a big gap between updates in different countries. I wanted to upload pic that prooves facts but I can't find a way to do it on this forum.

And here it is mid june 2015 and we are stilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll waitingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

Something needs to be done to force the manufacturers and carriers push android updates for all the devices they sell. This is total crap that because you bought and love a device that didn't sell well overall that you can't get the same updates as the "bestsellers".

Google just needs to change their agreement with the manufactures and carriers so that they are required to release the updates to all devices. That or google just needs to come up with a way to send the updates to the devices themselves without having to go through the manufacturesrs or carriers.

Luckily I live in Lithuania and our laws let us return electronic devices in 2 years. Btw I have warranty for 3 years directly from Samsung. Now I only need to find a defect or something so they have to return my money, not the new tablet.
