Lollipop is here....... Or is it?

Rogers, Telus, and Bell will all likely have updates ready before the end of April. I'm glad to see it starting to roll out though. It's been a long wait!

Waiting for an update to make the lollipop game a little easier. That's one jumpy droid!

Just remember all that you can always use flahtool to flash a generic FW to your device.

I have not waited for the carrier version in AUS - flashed over the Telstra version.

Tell you the truth I really like how my z3 runs on kitkat. 2 days of battery life, no hiccups on any apps. 4k video, water and dust proof. BTW, I've had this phone since launch day last year.

Man, if T Mobile gets the LG G4, I'm turning this Z3 in. The wait for Lollipop is ridiculous. Frankly, it's a nice phone but with Sony releasing updates fast, one of the reasons I got it was because of Sony support. With this slow release and Sony exiting the handset market soon (just my guess), I think it's time for me to move on.

Of course, T Mobile handset choices often suck so I may be stuck anyway.

Sony has until May 1 to keep me as a customer...and no, I don't blame T Mobile for this. T Mobile should have gotten their software release weeks earlier.

Well folks on T-Mobile still have yet to see the Lollipop update or when we can expect it. It's safe to say the Z3 is clearly not a priority and will probably receive only this one update when they finally get around to it.

T-Mobiles update page has the Z3 now listed as lollipop in testing. Still doesn't give us a time frame but it has moved up a step from manufacturer development.

As many feel it's dissapointing when a really nice device just doesn't receive the updates we expect in a timely manner. The Z3 has a lot of great things going on with it that keep me from switching to something else but at the same I have to rethink sticking with Sony next time around. I'm not sure if T-Mobile will carry the next Sony device anyway.

I agree with you about that as the Xperia Z3 has things going for it that even the GS6 doesn't. But if a four month update target time passes and no update and they take the phone off their page and eventually resist it, it really doesn't send a positive message. And as much I love this phone I don't like the feeling of having purchased a new phone and after just five months, T-Mobile seems like they don't care about it. Love the phone, hate the poor support and lack of communication from Sony/T-Mobile about update problems. Other Z3 variants have had the update for at least a month and even the Z1 on T-Mobile has already been updated. I thought new phone equals first in line for updates. I really do enjoy the phone though.

The update is live and downloaded on my Z3. After a restart everything is running fast and smooth. Happy with everything besides...guess we'll have to wait for Sony to push an update for these features as I know it's possible since the Z3+ is capable in all areas except RAW support.uploadfromtaptalk1433384373814.jpg
