Lollipop is here

Did anyone ever figure out a solution to the IR blaster issue with Lollipop? I like Lollipop, but not to the point where I think its worth sacrificing the IR blaster to have it. Had I known this earlier, I never would have upgraded the OS to Lollipop. Given Samsung's refusal to admit that the problem exists, and their thorough hand-washing on this issue, I'm seriously considering buying another company's product next time I'm in the market for a tablet.

I have a tab 4 8.0 lte from att running 5.1.1 . Ir blaster works fine here . I use peel smart from the play store .
