So Ironass should I update to the OE5 or stick with the legendary OD3?

Posted via Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F.

Not a mind blowing change from OD3 to OE5... but worth it IMHO.

Strange, OED has just been released for the Netherlands on a lower changelist, #4854135, than OE5 on #4920185

See how lucky our cousins across the pond are! They don't have to worry about all these updates to their phones or, even which update to go for. They just get what they are given... or not!

Okay then, I'll flash it right away.

OE5 drains battery more faster than the legendary OD3.

Posted via Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F.

How can you tell... you've only just flashed it!

As per mypost #32...

"Too early to say about the battery as I give it around 5 cycles but it is certainly no worse than OD3, which added about 20% life."

EDIT Just took this screenshot of my stock battery on OE5...

Compared to the first time I flashed the OD3 there's a slight difference.
Anyway, I hope that I'm wrong.

You cannot make a battery judgement after a couple of hours as the update will have affected the battery chip... hence my 3-5 charge cycles or a battery recalibration as per #1.6 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide. A cache partition wipe never hurts, either.

I give up on the waiting for the UAE version to come out so without trying to frustrate the good people on here, which is the firmware i should flash it with?

Current info:
AP: G900FXXU1ANL1
CP: G900FXXU1ANG8
CSC: G900FOJVANL1

A link to the firmware would be spiffing chaps.

The following is a link to OE5, see post #1. This is the unbranded stock Samsung U.K. firmware and has a 47 language pack. You can flash this via Odin by following the instructions and video contained in the links of #1.11 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide. Note the warning in the link.

As per post #1...

If Samsung run true to form, they will start rolling out this improved Lollipop to unbranded and lightly branded G900F users in the coming weeks.

Samsung are now starting to push out the OE5 build, changelist #4920185, (see post #1), to the worldwide model, G900F, on the following CSC codes...

OJV = Egypt

OJV = Iraq

OJV = Unknown (MRU)

OJV = Morocco (MAT)

OJV = Morocco

OJV = Saudi Arabia (KSA)

OJV = Saudi Arabia (ACR)

Check both OTA, (Over The Air), and via Samsung's PC suite, Kies, for updates.

For more information about CSC codes, see #1.8 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide
