Lollipop problems, the app manager shows up really slow

Hey guys, I just installed the Lollipop update on my S5 and it looks pretty alright. I'm disappointed by the lack of animations though.

I have this one particular problem though, the recent apps menu takes soooo long to show up! Especially when there are a lot of apps already open. It takes a full 1 to even 2 seconds just for it to show up!

Well it's no biggy. I'm patient :) but I hope it gets fixed with 5.0.1 (And I heard they're bringing in ambient display!!! Yay!)

Was this an official OTA update, or did you sideload it?

How about trying Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps? If the problem goes away, then something you installed may be interfering with that function. Safe Mode instructions are also in that link I posted above.

How are you getting an OTA? Which country are you in?

I downloaded the official firmware from Sammobile using Odin. My model is an SM-G900F so it's compatible with the firmware.

No I've tried it already. I've seen people with the 5.0 update have this problem too. I hope it gets fixed with the 5.0.1 update.

OTA means that it was sent over-the-air by the carrier. Since you downloaded the update yourself, it's still considered a manual installation/sideload.

Definitely report the problem to Samsung--hopefully they'll get enough bug reports that they'll fix it in an upcoming update.

Oh sorry, still don't know these stuff. I'll definitely report this bug. Thanks for the info!
