I just downloaded the Lollipop update and have been trying to get Smart Lock to work for this tab. I have a feeling Samsung did something to disable this feature from working as no matter what I try it simply doesn't work.

I added my home as a trusted place and my phone as a trusted device but every time I lock the Tab while at home and with my phone in range it still asks me for my pin number.

This is my first time using Lollipop so maybe I'm just misunderstanding something? Has anyone had any luck getting this to work?

Well, on mine it does work...sort of. It still has a lockscreen, it's just not a secure one (it turns into a swipe to unlock one).

I have to enter my fingerprint. I have the feature turned on in the trust agents screen but it doesn't work.

It seems to work sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I think it might have something to do with whether or not you have unlocked the screen at least once at the trusted location and then it remembers. But then again sometimes it just works. Who knows what the phone is thinking from time to time.

Check WHERE you swipe. The smart lock has a lock icon at the bottom of the screen. If you swipe that icon, it re-locks the device, which I think is a good feature. You need to swipe without touching that icon

Well how about that! You're right, it is a good feature as an easy re-lock option is something I'd like on my phone.
