Lollipop to Marshmallow, clean install or just upgrade?

I'm on 5.1.1 stock with Xposed and ElementalX. Should I completely wipe my phone when going to Marshmallow tomorrow?

For an update like that, I personally reset before updating and then wipe cache after the update is done.

Factory reset? Or like wipe/flash completely new? I'm trying to avoid lag and general complications. Used to iOS, sorry haha

Yeah, if I do a firmware update I always do a factory reset in the recovery menu. Then after the update is finished and optimized, I do a wipe cache partition in the recovery menu. I then set it up like a new device, bring over very little that I have backed up, mainly sms, and Nova settings.
