Lollipop update and Redmi note 4g

hello guys,
I am from chennai,i have bought redmi note 4g 6 months ago and i need to update lollipop android version and now kitkat version on my mobile.
I need to know it's possible or not.If possible how to update ?? please tel me

Welcome to Android Central! Moved to the General Help forum. If there are any official updates, you can go to Settings>About Phone>System Updates and check there. If there are no official updates, you'll need to root the phone and look for a custom Lollipop ROM for that device--search the web for that information (the forums at XDA-developers.com is a good place to start).
