Lollipop update for Note 4 in the UK?

Had it installed for about an hour now. Love the new notifications. Everything seems to be running more smoothly, especially the transitions and lock screen. Thumbs up from me! (So far!).

I hanvn't factory reset this time round, but I did when I updated through Odin. I had no problems at all with battery and smoothness going this route.

I'm going to see how it goes without the reset this time as I don't have the time right now, but if you do have problems I'd strongly recommend a reset as I know it fixed a lot of problems for users.

Don't get me wrong, I love lollipop. I had cm12 (stock android) on my s4 and loved it but Sammys version just doesn't cut the mustard. They didn't even bother changing signal icons

Is there anyway of removing the brightness/ s finder/ quick connect from the pull down notification screen? They take up too much space.

Still all good my end, no problems found so far, just dislike the messaging app look, but nothing major.

How's it going for everyone else?

Happy Lollipoping!

Would be nice if EE released it for some reason they also seem to be one step behind everyone else

Well overall pretty good :) Battery seems to be dropping fast a ram usage seems to be higher than on KK.
No lag issues, so seems a pretty stable update :) I am not that impressed with the lock screen with regards to the size of the clock and weather, also it is not showing additional information? Although when I check the settings time and weather are set to large (although they are small and pushed up into the top left hand corner) and my owner information that was originally my name is not showing at all? Also I use antivirus on my phone and that is constantly showing on my lock screen :( Any suggestions?

Yeah I brought direct from EE on pay as you go and is sim locked to them. I've since had it unlocked by them to except any sim. But am guessing that as it was original purchased from them I have to wait for the to release a lollipop update as my csc code is EVR which is EE.

Yes unfortunately that is the case. Not originally sim free so your update is going to be by EE :( I do not think that it will be much longer though.

UPDATE**********

yeah my bad, issue resolved by going to Sounds and Notifications (of all places) scroll down to Notification, then to "While Locked" and customise from there :)

Anyone tell me what version mine is?

Hi everyone, I hope those of you who finally got the update from Samsung are all up and running smoothly :)

just wanted to update on my findings so far, okay initially I thought battery life was looking bad, however it actually seems pretty good :) i have been using the Gear VR with it for the last hour and it has only used 20% Battery and that is very GOOD! RAM usage seems to be dropping down to a more stable 1.79GB / 2.71GB....GREAT!
Earlier after updating it was running at 2.20GB / 2.71GB when idle, so that has settled nicely :)
Also I have noticed that my operator (EE) network is performing better, much stronger signal and I am able to update and do my banking on 3G and it seems more than acceptable. I have no complaints with regards to the lollipop look and the new animations and I have managed to find my way around all of the settings. So overall I am very happy with the update :) There was also an update earlier for android wear and now with the Lollipop update....no disconnecting and also the range has improved, so much better integration there also.
I will post back in another couple of days to give a further update if anyone is interested.

Hi got the update as well. What are the animations, I haven't seen any?

Also I charged the battery after the update and it took almost 10 to charge 1%. Turned the phone off (not restart) and that seemed to correct it.

Animations are very subtle in appearance, you will see them when you are on the phone keypad and on chrome. They are there I promise ;) With regards to the very slow charging, did you clear the cache partition after you did the update?
