Lollipop update for Note 4 in the UK?

Hi,
Can someone with a bit more knowledge than me take a look at this screenshot of my phone storage as it does not look right to me :(
Over 7+GB for the system.....damn????????2015-04-23 21.11.11.jpg

Not sure if I like this Lollipop. My phone was just as fast if not faster on KitKat. Yes I did wipe cache partition and factory reset before and after the update. I have not reinstalled any apps yet but something is keeping it awake for some reason, had the same problem with the German firmware. I will give it a couple of days to "settle in" but if things don't improve I will most likely go back to KK as it worked perfectly, but it's just my opinion.

I've also flashed the btu version on to my ee phone. Like the improvements on lollipop but may go back to kitkat and wait for the official lollipop up date from ee.

It seems they've really improved the fingerprint scanner so that's a plus. Not sure that I like the changes to tabs in chrome but managed to change that back in the app settings.

Yes, I finally got the update on my sim free note too... what a wait!
One question, I've only played a wee bit to see what's changed and I don't 'think' I've knowingly changed anything but I've just noticed my keyboard has changed very slightly.... my smiley button has moved to the Sym page so now it's a two step process to get to it - not a huge problem but I use it a lot - any guesses what I've done? I also seem to be able to press a button on the keyboard and it makes it smaller... don't think it did that before either?

If you press and hold the microphone button (or whatever it may be assigned to) right next to the Sym key on the keyboard you can change it to always display smileys in texts and emails.

After a week on Lollipop I decided to go back to KitKat and stay there for the following reasons:
1. My battery life is worse.
2. My phone is slower, seems to stutter a lot more when scrolling through the settings.
3. Signal strength is weaker.
4. The whole UI looks too childish and cartoony IMO.
5. Battery usage shows wifi connected when it isn't.
and the list goes on.
I never thought I would say this but Lollipop is far from perfect and leaves a lot to be desired for and I will stay put until 5.1 is hopefully rolled out, but that's just my opinion.

Glad to see I'm not missing anything cause since I've found put my note 4 is Spain variant I've no idea when I will get Lollipop :(

Yeah I am not happy with Lollipop at all... Loved my phone before it but now it frustrates me constantly and the phone gets so hot.
WhatsApp just stalls and plays up all the time.. Keyboard doesn't appear at times and I get similar issues with other apps that weren't there before lollipop

I'm sorry for all the people having problems with Lollipop. I'm loving it and no issues I have found after a few weeks.

The only thing I would say, I would like the colour of the dialer app to be the same shade as the pull down menu.

Yes I am sorry for those that are experiencing problems. I did have numerous frustrating issues after updating and I lived with them for a week. Things did seem a little better but still not right, so I then did what we all hate doing... The factory reset!!!
Now everything has settled and all is working well and I am seeing genuine improvements although I have now got into the habit of clearing the cache partition about every couple of days.
No lag and battery life is very good.
So all in all I am pleased but I know when 5.1 arrives it is going to be great.
5.1 is already finding its way to the S6/S6 edge so I am hoping that we should see that around September.

I installed Lollipop last night. I'm on the 3 network. The installation went fine and the phone seems marginally faster than before but not a huge change. Was looking forward to the new camera controls but it doesn't look like my carrier has enabled any of the features from the new API. Really disappointed with that aspect. Since switching from WP to Android, the limitations of the camera was one the biggest downsides of the platform. Really hope a future update addresses this.

What camera control s were you hoping to get?? I'm on an unlocked note 4 and didn't e see any changes to camera app

It was my understanding that the camera2 API would enable users to have more control over ISO, shutter speed, focus etc. Not in the default camera app but through third party apps that have been developed to take advantage of the accessible features but after running a manual camera compatibility app, it shows that there are no new features available on my Note 4.

I had a day off sick last week, so after experiencing mild issues with Lollipop around lag, phone getting hot and poor battery life I decided to factory reset.
Night and day difference - battery life is now marginally better than KitKat, no lag or randomly hot phones.

It doesn't seem to work for everyone and it's a massive ball ache but if you've got a spare afternoon it's probably worth a shot.

I imported my phone from Hong Kong. It is an sm-910u I downloaded the new OS from Sammobile & installed it using Odin. So far it is very slick. I have an LG G Watch so activated the smart unlock which is so handy. I have also downloaded some watch faces that I think we're unavailable. 18 hours in all is good and smooth. Quick question, as my phone is the Hong Kong version and I am In the UK will I get future OTA updates?
