Android lollipop supports 64 bits architecture and note 4 has two main varrient that is the snapdragon 805 which is 32 bits and the exynos 5433 which is 64 bits.my question is will there be a mass difference in performance between these two devices after lollipop update?

Until the update hits, we won't know. It was confirmed that the Exynos would support 64-bit processing but would only run in 32-bit mode for the time being. So maybe after Lollipop hits, they'll 'activate' the 64-bit mode, which would leave Snapdragon users very left out.

How exactly do we know which variant we have? I've looked for this info but haven't found it.

State side (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mo) are all Snapdragon, over seas... Exynos.

That's pretty cool to know, so my Note 4, from the UK is exynos? any way of checking this?
Cpu-z.

I think that the International UNLOCKED versions are the ones with Exynos. Phones that support LTE in the US (I'm guessing yours does) are Qualcomm.

64 bit is for the future. Until 64-bit-only apps show up, you will not miss anything by not having a 64-bit phone.

In general 32-bit applications run faster than equivalent 64-bit ones. 64-bit’s main advantage is for systems and applications that require large amounts (over 4GB) of memory.

I agree, This is why it's, most often currently, useful to install a 64bit OS but to install applications in their 32bit version when both are available. For instance for a while I installed both 32 and 64 versions of MPC-HC and VLC at each update, then after realizing the 64 brought nothing, I reverted to only installing the 32.
