Lollipop Update for Note Edge Failed AT&T

ATT Galaxy Note Edge
For the past few weeks, my edge has been trying to update to Lollipop. It downloads the entire update, then restarts, only to fail when it hits between 0-1% complete. I have been trying to search online and have seen comments that it may have to do with the phone being encrypted (requirement of my place of business and email). However, I have had galaxy phones prior to the Edge and run updates prior to lollipop, and all have been smooth.

Has anyone else run into this problem and found a fix?
Better yet, with some of the complaints I have seen with Lollipop, should I be happy and leave it alone?

Last first - I would stay with 4.4.4, or whatever you have. 5.0, 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 have a memory leak. Leave the phone on long enough (and how long that is depends on what apps you're running), and you'll have to restart - if you can wait 10 minutes for the phone to recognize that you pressed the power button. (It's usually not that bad, but it can be.)

If you still want LolliFlop, bring the phone to an AT&T Device Support Center (ask at your local store if you don't know where the DSC is - it's in an AT&T store), and ask them to please flash the update for you. I'm betting that they'll apologize for the fact that they have to replace your phone, so back it up before you go (see Backing up an Android Device). It's cheaper and faster for them, and faster for you, if they just give you a working phone. (If yours is more than a few weeks old, you'll get a refurb - used in, used out. Don't get upset - I'm on month 19 on my Note 3 refurb. Lollipop has better battery life? I can get through an 8 hour day without even thinking of looking at the charge. 16 hours? It probably gets down near 40%, which is as low as you should let it go. Lollipop does better? Not from what I've heard. And this one had a few accidents while it was in an Otterbox Defender that would have destroyed a naked phone. I'll take a refurb if the one I'm replacing isn't new.)

Exactly what he said. Lollipop is not all its cracked up to be. Fourtunately I haven't had some of the issues or nightmares that some users have had. If I was smart, I would have stayed with KitKat. But that's just me...

I don't have to worry about failed updates I'm on Verizon, they don't do updates

Good info...It sounds like I should just stick with 4.4.4 for now.
And I am currently on a refurb note edge. My new one quit charging after 1 month, so I ended up with a refurbished.
