Did it wipe your data requiring a complete restore? If so, no thanks.

Yes it does but the toolkit has a backup feature.

Hmm.. Back up your important data..implies a less than total backup like I get with icloud on my iPhone, which restores everything back to the way it was. That sort of complete backup might almost be ok, though I'm still unlikely to want to bother.

Yes,Nexus 7 (2012) Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Confirmed. i heard this news in october .....The Nexus 7 (2012) Android 5.0 Lollipop release has been confirmed and it will join Google’s Nexus 5, Nexus 10, Nexus 7 2013, and Nexus 4 Android 5.0 Lollipop roll outs at some point in the future.

Yep it requires a full wipe but for me since my tablet doesn't have anything vital on it I wasn't worried. Plus I used the Clockworkmod Helium to back up and restore everything.

I gave that up after it failed to show up on Nov 3. If we see it this year so much the better. They ( Google ) seem to operate on a geologic time scale rather than a human one.
