I've done that too. Many times. Factory wiped the thing, too. 6 times so far for that.I had problems like that once so I wiped the cache partition and all those problems disappeared.

Don't do that trick. It does more harm than good.

Amazing. I HAVE had some pretty mysterious things happen on my N10 since doing that. Stupid me. Never again!
Really wish I'd known all those facts. Gonna have to factory wipe my 10 now - too many things not working right.

No harmIsn't that article about KitKat? This thread is about Lollipop. I'm confused about your post.
Edit: never mind. I now know. My apologies.
That one person is an engineer from Google. That's good enough for me. And the device was exhibiting exactly the symptoms he described.Don't wipe it because of that one article. Just because one person says it doesn't mean it's true. You device will be fine.
What impossible there has been no reports of people getting updates on the Nexus

I saw an article today that there were a host of problems with Lollipop on the 5...I haven't seen one nexus 5 user get the OTA yet

Well, not meaning to burst any bubbles, but let's see what it seems like a month from now. ;-)I sideloaded lollipop, and it has made a TREMENDOUS difference for me. Everything is much smoother, and most importantly, I haven't had one freeze yet which was a daily occurrence before.
Wait till you get the update to see if its still acting up.That one person is an engineer from Google. That's good enough for me. And the device was exhibiting exactly the symptoms he described.

The wipe was done yesterday. Right now I'm just going to hold off on setting anything up until after the OTA eventually gets here.Wait till you get the update to see if its still acting up.
