Lollipop VoLTE and Wi-FI D851

I just upgraded to Lollipop on T-Mobile.

I am not using T-Mobile wi-fi calling. When wifi is on (and connectedi), LTE is off, so therefore VoLTE is not available. Is this correct?

Well, LTE isn't really 'off' in the sense that the radio is disabled. The mobile data connection just isn't active, but the LTE connection itself is. So VoLTE will still be available. If you turn on Wi-Fi Calling, that completely disables the phone radio and VoLTE isn't coming into play (since the call is going out over your internet connection).
