Really disappointed that the HK version isn't getting the update yet, was looking forward to having HK sound back, Boomsound sucks

I am not in love with it. I would love to go back to KitKat. My battery life has gone from crap to crappier.

I got lollipop 5.01 tues night and so far I'm loving it. I had a problem with my weather app and now it's working and my phone is faster and smoother.

Only found two problems so far. I'm unable to make a wifi connection at work this morning. More serious is my terrible power drain on my Moto 360. Went from fully charged at 7 am to 37% at 9. Have restarted, then reset the watch. Next step if that doesn't work is a full reset of the phone.

Have you tried reentering your wifi info as a new connection? Worked for me.

For some reason that Sprint Connection program wasn't coming up, but once it finally came up,all appears to be working as far as wifi.

HK not approved. No timeline as to when. Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll go through this week?

Now being told the 19th for the HK model.....

Just wondering.... what is so different in the hk vs standard model? I was always under the impression that it was just a HK software mod due to those that are rooted M8 owners installing it on standard M8's.

Concerning that it takes an additional 2 weeks of lab to get this out....

Maybe they are fixing a few bugs they encountered on the original update. I'd gladly wait for a more solid update.

What are you concerned about? Your phone still works.

It's easy to be concerned..... considering the following:

HTC USA Facebook
Keep in mind, the Harman Kardon edition of the HTC One (M8) is only different in that it has some exclusive software enhancements for audio as well as the inclusion of Harman Kardon headphones.

So, if it takes 2 additional weeks to turn out an update that is the basically the same as a standard M8, will HTC continue to dedicate the resources further down the road for this SE edition...

According to most developers, the HK software is only approx. 20 lines of code....
