Long press home button on AOD stops working (S8)

Within the past week or so, I sporadically lose the ability to long press (tap and hold) the home button on my AOD in order to wake the screen up. Pressing the home button will do nothing. However, I can double tap the home button and it wakes up.

I noticed this coincided with the latest auto-update from the Always on Display via the Galaxy App store. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not a huge deal, but definitely pretty annoying. I have an unlocked Galaxy S8 on Verizon.

I have the unlocked S8+ and with the AOD update, I can still long press the invisible home button to wake up the display.

Yeah with me it only breaks occasionally. Usually when it's wireless charging on the Samsung wireless charger

About 2 months but this only started happening like a week ago tops.
