Chrome mini player not working?

I have been using full screen mode on twitch in chrome to watch videos on my galaxy 23. I make it into a mini player by pressing home button on screen so I see a small window with video playing- I can open another chrome or even other apps while video is playing. I dont know what happened but now when I do the same thing, the mini window just closes after I hit home..

Anyone know whats wrong?

Welcome to Android Central! I see the same behavior on my Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. Picture-in-Picture is turned on for Chrome in the Settings>Apps>Special Access menu as well -- yours is turned on, right?

It also happens on other sites like Floatplane. I also see the same behavior on my Pixel Tablet. Seems like a bug in Chrome -- I would send feedback to Google from within the Chrome settings about this (I just did).
