I used to be able to long press the home button to switch on my phone but now it doesn't work and I can't find the setting!

Sorry yes, wake up not switch on. I have those settings as your screenshots show but a long press get the feedback buzz but it goes to password screen not opens page.
A thought, could Goodlock have changed something? I have it set to 4 icons on the bottom bar.

It's actually a hard press rather than a long press. I have a pin set, but also wear a smartwatch with smart lock lock activated, so the phone is usually unlocked while near.
If I lock the screen, when I hard press the home button, the phone wakes but shows the pin input screen.
The wife does not use a pin or any lock on her Note 9. A hard press of her home button wakes the phone and shows the home screen.

Well done you...mentioning the watch did it. My galaxy watch was in a service centre for a new motherboard and I had to re-add it as trusted device! All good now, many thanks ??????????????????
