Hi

I'm having problems with long text messages from one of my friends. When she sends messages over 160 characters I get most of the message, but some will be missing and replaced by text from a previous messge that she sent me.

When she sends me another long text, I will get most of that text and the missing portion of the earlier text.

This has only been happening for the last week, before that I got her messages fine. This problem isn't occuring when she send text to other people.

I contacted my provider and they told me to re-enter the Message Centre number and also remove and clean my SIM. Did that and still having the problem. I've Googled the problem and there are lots of threads about this sort of thing, mainly affecting Android phones. Is this an Android fault? Has anyone got a solution?

Help, please!

Im currently having this problem for the second time...first time was on a year old Android: Sony Ericsson X10 and now on a non-android Nokia 3200 (just an old spare phone). I don't know what is causing it but I suspect its a memory problem....that the old text isn't deleted or moved properly...so it could be hardware old age. I've had about ten mobile phones and its only happened on two. Sorry I cant tell you any more than this.
