As I am looking at all the pictures that I have taken, there is a tab on the bottom of my screen that shows all the pictures, how do I get rid of that tab? it becomes annoying when you are trying to look at pictures and you cant see the bottom of the picture.
Thanks for your help

Yes , it wont do that anymore, it used to stay on for about 3 sec and turn off, now it stays on the whole time.

I'm sure you did but did you try rebooting or battery pull? Mine stays on for 3 secs and turns off, I couldn't find anything to set to make it stay permanent or vice versa. Maybe the function for it to fade is stuck, just guessing.

Nothing works, it wont go away

I disliked the stock Gallery app, and instead I use an app called QuickPic.
I suggest you use it. It's a lot better than Gallery.

Can you try uninstalling updates and reboot, then reinstall them?

I use quickpic as well, doesn't solve the problem but bypasses it I guess. However when you're in camera mode and hit the gallery pic it with take you back to the stock gallery. But if you don't access your photos through the camera app then quickpic is worth grabbing.
