Looking for a large Android tablet

Trying to replace a dying laptop. I want something 12" to 18". Bigger being better. The Samsung View 18 has this big silly non-removable stand, so it's out. I need it to fit in a carry-on bag. I'd like a USB port, but I can get by with a docking hub with USB and HDMI ports. I need Bluetooth.
It needs to be durable. I work in office trailers, trucks, motels, and classrooms, so it will get beat around some.
I need it to do basic stuff like word, excel, powerpoint and PDFs. I also do video and powerpoint presentations with televisions and projectors.

I'd like lots of storage, maybe a micro-SD card slot, but I also carry a 1T external hard drive, so I can get by.

Any ideas?

The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro or Tab Pro 12.2 are pretty much your only other options in that size range.
They both support a microSD, and although they only have a microUSB port meant for charging, you may be able to use USB OTG to access an external hard drive (don't quote me on this though, I've never tried it).

Both of those have been discontinued. I see Alcatel is coming out with a 17, and HP has (or had) a slate 17. I'm googling around about the HP right now.

Yeah you're right, both of those have been discontinued. I'm sorry.

Looking at the HP Slate 17, it actually looks right up your alley. It does have a stand, but unlike the Galaxy View, it folds up flat into the body of the tablet. It also has a USB and HDMI port. I also found the HP Pro Slate 12, but considering you said bigger is better, the 17 is probably your best option at the moment.

I purchased the HP Slate 17 last August 2015, and while it's a pretty good tablet, it has some MAJOR limitations,
and I wouldn't purchase it again, had I been given the choice. The biggest downfall is that it will NOT connect via
USB to a computer, HP has confirmed that, and why it doesn't? Beats me! I even had to send it in and they "found nothing
wrong with it", but I can't get it to stream Netflix or use a myriad of other apps correctly.

It became a "kitchen tablet" and I now use it to look up recipes or things like that, works fine for that useage.

It's no wonder why they discontinued it. First, it's HUGE and heavy. Weighs in at 5 lbs.

If you're REALLY intent on getting one, you might check out Amazon.........that is where I purchased mine.
