Hihi, I'm looking for a phone that I can use for heavy use. I'm so tired of worrying about my battery.

I currently have the Nexus 6P (I think I had it for a year now) and the battery life that was 3450mah is now 2,196mah (battery heath: 64% - according to Accubattery. I didn't know it was bad to charge the phone overnight... :-\)

Right now, I'm eyeing these phones:
-Moto Z Play
-Asus Zenfone 3 (all the cases for this phone look the same and ugly >.>)
-S8 (is the s8 good for heavy use? I mainly like how small and comfortable it feels in my hand).

Any suggestions? Nothing bulky and heavy

Welcome to Android Central! The Z Play (1st gen, not 2nd) is well-known to have excellent battery life. A cheaper alternative would be the Moto G5 Plus, which my wife has -- she loves the battery life, which generally lasts at least 1.5 days without having to recharge again (and she uses her phone relatively heavily). Performance is quite good, despite its budget/midrange price. It's not bulky or heavy at all.

Same suggestions! The original Z Play has an stellar battery life and pretty good performance. My wife has the G5 plus, as well (haha), and even with a much smaller battery (3000mAh) it will get you through the day even with very heavy use. I bought the new G5S plus that comes with a bigger screen (5.5") and battery life is amazing. All three phones come with the same SD625.

To give you an idea how efficient this SoC is. These battery stats are from my G5S plus on a day with heavy use, using mobile data for a long time and with very weak signal (phone radio took 25%). The smaller G5 plus (5.2") is even better! :)

B.Diddy & Javier: Bigger battery is better, isn't it? lol Z Play looks like it be might better to get than the G5 Plus. Nice screenshoot

Haha. Yeah, if battery is your main concern the Z Play is the way to go. With the G5+ you get a smaller phone and some new stuff like the one nav button (one of my favorite features on recent Moto phones).

But it's not just the size -- it's how it's used. (Hmm, that sounds kinda suggestive.;)) I recall a comparison of both phones that noted that despite the Z Play's bigger battery, the battery life was still about the same. It might have to do with the Z Play having more RAM (3 GB vs 2 GB), which means it might expend a bit more power over time managing apps that are open in RAM.

I have a Z Play and it's a beast. Feels solid in my hand and I think it's great on battery.

Everyone's battery life will be different based on several factors.

Of those 3, I'd go with the Z Play since it has the battery mod. If you're going to put the device through heavy use, then not only do you need to worry about the time between charges, but also total battery life. Heavy use will just naturally kill a battery sooner, so I'd rather sacrifice time between charges for being able to replace it myself when the time comes.

The Z Play is a sealed battery, but the battery mod will offset that to some extent, though it adds bulk to the phone (which is subjective on if that's good or bad). Otherwise, I'd look at phones built with a removable battery. I'm personally using an LG V20, which has a removable battery and actually surprised a lot of people with long time between charges. I do a lot of gaming, so I'm lucky to get much over 6 hours. But the phone is a powerhouse, and those games run so nice. Lol.

I too recommend the Z Play! My friend who uses it is a heavy gamer and he loves it! Great battery life and solid phone.

Moto Z Play is probably the best bet.
S8 is good but you will not get SoT as good as the Moto.
Good luck.

Thanks for all your input, everyone. I decided to go to a shop and have them replace the battery for me. If they end up messing up or something goes wrong, I'll get the Z phone :)

Glad you're getting everything sorted out, OP! :)
