Looking for a pre paid cell phone service.

Hello everyone. I am looking for a pre paid cell phone service. Right now I'm on Sprint, their data is absolutely horrible. I have rarely had a dropped call with them, so I have to give them credit for that. I'm looking for a gsm predaid network, I like the fact that I can bring over any unlocked gsm phone. I'm currently looking at Walmart Family Mobile (I work at Walmart so I would get a discount with Family Mobile), Mint Sim, Cricket or ATT Go Phone. I just wanted to get some input from people who have used these carriers in the past. I live in the south west Florida area near Tampa. Also is it fairly easy to Port out your number from these carries, just in case I don't like the service? Thanks for all the input.

Where I'm at straight talk is the only one worth having, but that's not among your options so I can't comment as to which would be best. Although the articles mobile nations ran on mintsim said you could save by paying for several months at a time, so value wise that looks the best, but I don't know the pricing of the rest.

Porting your number out will be just as easy as porting in, I'm a former Verizon rep, handled port ins for a lot of prepaid companies to Verizon, same easy process on them all. Usually the active device IMEI is used for the account number, provide your account pin, and good to go. A couple prepaid services took until midnight to switch service, but most were instant. So don't worry about porting out if service doesn't work, only thing to remember is you own your number, as long as you never cancel service and port first, you can keep that number for years to come and jump carriers frequently.
