I watched a new iPhone YT video where you just point the phone at an object and it tells you the name of the object in the language of your choice. Does anyone know of an app like this for Andriod? The name of the app in iJustine's vid is called Memorize.
I've copied the like at the time of the video where she is talking about the AI app.
Well that didn't work. It starts about 7:39

I'm sorry, the time stamp should have read 7:39. As far as I know Bixby doesn't do what the iPhone was doing. It was seeing random objects and telling the user the name of each object in German. If Bixby does this, I don't know anything about it.

doesn't Bixby do that in the camera app ?

No, I just tried it. It's for purchasing power. You point at an object and Bixby shows you were you can buy it. I'd be interested in the app on the iPhone for educational purposes.

Hmmm...good question then , hopefully someone else can chime in

Microsoft translation app has a camera feature built in. I will warn you now, they are not always correct so don't rely on them to be 100% accurate.

Google Goggles used to do something like that.. The replacement is called Google Lens, and it's linked to Google Assistant - instead of voice or keyboard input you point the camera at something, and Lens identifies it and tells you about it. (In whatever the default language of the phone is.)

Thanks, I'll check these out but I don't think it's going to work like the Apple app does.

Might be worth emailing or tweeting the dev see if they have plans for an android app. Those features could be added to Bixby or Google lens and I'm sure they would be if it native to the os

Good idea! I should have thought of that. Thanks!
