Looking for an external microphone solution

Hello:
I am hoping someone out there can help. I'm looking for an external microphone solution for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I don't just need improved audio. It's a situation where I need enhanced audio on video recordings as well. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

The phone will run any condenser mic (or any mic that delivers the correct level audio if it's capacitively isolated) on the shell (+) and the first ring from the shell (-). The resistance should be of the order of 1.4kOhms, so if the mic has to be isolated (like a dynamic mic), use a resistor to indicate to the phone that there's an external mic in use.
