Hi,
I put a droid phone into model rockets that I launch. That way, if the rocket lands far from the launch site, I can track and find it with Google Find My Device or other GPS tracking apps. Works great most of the time, only problem is that sometimes the phone shuts off on ground impact if the landing jars it too hard. Then I can't use the usual tracking apps, which only work if the phone is on. Is there any app that tracks and stores GPS location history that can be seen on another device, thus allowing me to see the last location prior to impact? Google Timeline gives location history but it is not based on GPS, so the history is not that accurate.
Thanks for any help,
Bill

Yes, it would have to be an app that stores the GPS data remotely as it is generated, data that can then be accessed from another device.

The Verizon HUM app might do what your asking, I'm not sure if you need Verizon or not to get it.

I know I tried the app out(don't actually need to pay for HUM service) and it would automatically detect when I was driving and record the route. You can access the information remotely from another device.

It's a long shot, but only thing that comes to my mind.
