Hi everyone! 👋

I’m the developer of PhotoTag, an app that lets you tag and rename photos directly in your gallery and find them instantly.

Features:

  • 🏷️ Add permanent tags to your photos.
  • 🔍 Search and find images instantly by tag.
  • 🖼️ Organize your photos more easily.
🛠️ Looking for testers! I need 12 testers before publishing the app on Google Play. If you’re interested, just reply to this post, and I’ll send you more details!

Hi Maximilian, cool bio pic. I am a full stack developer and would like to see what you are up to. I find photo tagging support to be under-supported-utilized area because of peoples full comment to the cloud and proprietary photo apps/databases opposed to Exif ect... I chose Synology as my personal cloud so a photo tagging app could be very helpful foe tags downstream. An idea I have so you can leverage any photo app and their benefits generically is accept a Select All share that passes the filenames and when they land in your app, chose a tag.

Hi, thanks for the feedback and idea! Right now PhotoTag works directly on local photos, allowing manual tagging and renaming. It uses an internal app database aswell, so the photos load actually very fast. I use exif for storing the tag long term. So I think alot of people still store photos on the phone, so my app helps them.
I hadn’t thought of the "share → tag" flow for tagging, but it’s an interesting suggestion for future updates! Thanks (y)
