I have the Otter Box Commuter. I often drop the phone in front of people, to audible gasps. Yet, Cleo (my Note 3) is unscathed.

It's still slim enough to fit in my front and back jeans pockets.

I use the included screen protector but have heard of plenty of people using a tempered glass screen protector with no issues with the UAG case

I saw some pretty good video reviews too. I did see an eBay seller that is selling the case for under $30 with free shipping. I am not due for an upgrade 'til 2015. So I am going to pay full retail for the price on Verizon. Currently have the HTC Droid DNA. No problems with this phone. But every year, I want a new phone. Will purchase the S-View and take it with me to Verizon when I get the phone. They try to hard-sell you into buying their own branded accessories. Thanks for your help.
