Sorry if I missed it, but I am looking for the latest and greatest "How to" on installing Android on the TP. Could someone please point me to it.

Thanks.

I know it looks like a lot of steps, but seriously was one of the simplest things you can do. It's well worth the 15 mins to get it going.

Yes, it takes *far* longer to read it than to actually do it. Once you do it, it's almost like falling off a log, it's that simple.

Thanks to All,

I now have CM7 installed on my TP and so far, so good. I have to say, even though I am new to both webos and CM7 I found webos much easier to setup. It seems easier to organize the screens the way I like them. I had to play around with CM7 quite a bit to finally get the TP organized in a way that I am comfortable with, and I think I still have more work to do on CM7. Both have the strong points and weaknesses and I am not sure which one I will ultimately favor.

I love CM7 on the Touchpad - ever since I installed it, the vast majority of my time has been spent on it rather than on webOS.

My user experience has been quite stable, and I've never had any significant usage glitches, except for wifi sometimes having to be turned on and off to recognize a network properly. Never had the sleep of death issue.

The only significant issue I have is battery consumption at sleep. Hopefully CM9 ICS will address it.

I'm glad the CM guys decided to leave webOS alone and not overwrite it. For sure, webOS is easier to use than CM7, but I think this is due to Android being so very configurable/customizable.
