Looking to buy an android

Well I'm not going to buy an android 100%, but it's either between the new blackberry or an android. I don't really know anything about Androids so I could really use some help. What are some of the best Android phones that are available in Canada that are relatively new? And are there any new Android phones coming out soon, like in the next month?

Any help would be appreciated.

I can't help you with Canadian products, sorry. I can tell you that I have used both the BlackBerry Curve and an Android Smartphone (EVO). The BlackBerry OS is not intuitive, at all, but once you learn it, it is very powerful. That being said, Android is very easy to use and figure out and once you learn it, it is also very powerful. There are so many more options with Android, plus a larger market for apps. If the phone doesn't do what you want it to, you can be assured that there is an app out there that will cover what you are looking for. As a gadget junkie that has tried out just about every mobile OS, I highly recommend Android above all other.

Good luck! And remember, not everyone is the same. The BlackBerry may be more your style and fit better with what you do on a daily basis. Try them all, like me, then you'll know.

Bell has the Vibrant (one of the newest Android phones)
Telus has the Desire (this years model, and still very relevant)
Virgin Mobile has the Legend (Smaller, mid level phone)

Also, Rogers will soon be getting the Samsung Captivate (part of the Galaxy S line of phones)

I have had the Blackberry Pearl and Bold 9000. No don't get me wrong I LOVED my Bold to death, but recently decided to take the plunge on an android phone. I purchased the Samsung Captivate and HONESTLY love it. Very user friendly, no it doesn't have the things you maybe use to have on BB, and thru constant playing around with it I am being to love it MORE each day. I really love having more on board memory and larger screen, this is where RIM falls short with its products. Just pop into one of your phone carriers and pick one up, see how you like it. It all comes down to your wants and needs of the phone
