looking to buy VGN?

I'm thinking about buying a galaxy nexus on eBay for Verizon to tide me over until I find my next full time phone. I currently have two lines on Verizon, my wife's Droid razr M who upgraded back in March and my current Droid 3 which has its contract end this month. I've never had a. Sim card phone so I'm wondering what my options are with this galaxy nexus. When my contract ends on the Droid 3 do I have to put the GN. On my account or can buy a prepaid Sim thru Verizon? If I go to Verizon to buy a Sim card for this phone will they require me to sign a contract? Thanks for any help.

If you buy the gnex off eBay you can just take it in to the Verizon store and they will give you a sim card. No need to sign a contract if you aren't buying a subsidized phone.
