So I know apple has the "airport" setup.... ideally, I'm looking to wirelessly output music to speakers in my family room via my xoom tablet (note: I also have a g2).

I would imagine this might also require some hardware into a receiver in the entertainment center... but if you have any handy tips/tricks I would certainly appreciate it.

Xoom ideally but I have a G2 as well.

Thanks!

I know their are bluetooth recivers that can audio out via a 3.5 mm port. Might be the easiest option, but I know you will lose some audio quality using bluetooth.

If your stereo equipment, or Blue Ray player is DLNA compatable, and setup on your WiFi netwoir, that should work great without buying any additional equipment.

Just looked around -- Not sure if the Xoom had DLNA support.. Does anyone know?

Hmm I'm new to the DLNA features... currently reading up on it... I'm more/less purchasing a whole entertainment setup so I'll be sure to check out DLNA comp. bluray players... (assuming I'll need one to output from there). Thanks for the tip... turns out I'm not going with the bluetooth option listed above... I dont want to suffer sound quality (cracking etc)

keep em' coming, much appreciated.

I use an apple airport express and an app called iTunes remote for android. I have all my music on a desktop that is on all the time. I have the airport express plugged into my whole house audio system. I use apple and android devices so this solution works well for me. With iTunes remote I can stream to my airport or to my xoom speaker.

I own this and connect every bluetooth gadget I have to it. it also 2 way , but I never use it for outbound. I have an "old / average " jvc receiver, works great. white-red.

only downside is that if you flip-flop between devices you have to go resync it by holding the button. I play nes on my xoom, or movie, or whatever and pump audio out. do it all the time, love the device.

Amazon.com: Sony Two-Way Bluetooth Adapter for iPod and MP3 Players: Electronics

Another option :) Although, I consider it a Must-Purchase...
