Looking To Switch To Android and looking for advice

Alright well I'm coming over from crackberry.com and have been a user over there for years and now I hate to say this and never thought this would happen but I'm on my 2nd Blackberry 9930 and it has the same problem it did before with not turning on any longer(known problem). This along with a couple other problems with others in the past I think I'm going to move on at least for awhile and try out the competition.

My question to anyone willing to answer or give their thoughts is what would some of the top line Android phones for Verizon? Would I be better off waiting for a new Android phone that is coming out soon and use an old phone for now?

I have a friend that is seriously recommending the HTC Sensation xe.

Is this phone even avaible for Verizon because I haven't seen it on their website? Anybody know about this?
